About
Max Aquatics Swim Lessons offers Baby ‘n Me swim lessons, small group swim lessons, kids swim lessons, adult swim lessons, a swim club, lifeguarding classes, Family/Open Swim, and lap swimming. Each swimmer is evaluated on the first day of each session to assign them to the appropriate skill level within their age group. Family Open Swim is available for families currently enrolled in swim lessons.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Fall session II runs from October 26th to January 24th, with no classes during Thanksgiving week and two weeks off for winter break; the next lifeguarding class meets Saturday and Sunday, March 28th–29th.
Max Aquatics Swim Lessons states that it is a swim school for all ages, skill levels, and abilities, with a main focus on teaching youngsters water safety and swim lessons, and with programs for swimmers from 6 months old through senior citizens. The program notes that Chicago is the #2 swim market in the United States, behind Southern California, according to USA Swimming.
Parents have shared that a 5-year-old “loved” a week of summer camp and that instructors were “fully hands on and wonderful with the kids,” that teachers were “really gentle with first-time students” and a three-year-old “felt very comfortable and is slowly learning how to swim,” and that baby/toddler swim lessons made the water fun and served as “a great precursor to swimming to build a foundation of skills.”
