Above the Barre Dance Academy

Above the Barre Dance Academy offers Discover Dance Level 1 for ages 20 months to 2.5 years and Discover Dance Level 2 for ages 2.5 to 4.5 years. It also offers Foundations of Dance, Acro Grey Level, Acro Purple Level, Acro Silver Level, Ballet 1, Ballet Level 2, Ballet Level 3, Adult Tap, Adult Ballet, and Hip Hop Level 1.

• Foundations of Dance — 4.5-5.5 yrs. · Mon 4:30-5:00 pm; Tue 5:30-6:00 pm; Wed 4:45-5:15 pm · $54 per month · Bridge class for dancers who need more time to grow foundational skills; no parents sitting in with dancers.
• Acro Grey Level — 5-7 yrs. · Mon 6:30-7:15 pm · $65 per month · Structured class with warm-up, strength training, flexibility work, skill work and choreography.
• Acro Purple Level — 8 yrs. and up · Mon 7:15-8:00 pm · $69 per month · Instructor suggests splits, bridge, plank, cartwheel, backward roll, handstand and scorpion hold skills.
• Acro Silver Level — 11 yrs. and up · Mon 8:00-9:00 pm · $81.50 per month · Instructor permission required.
• Ballet 1 — 5.5-7 yrs. · Mon 6:00-6:30 pm; Wed 5:30-6:00 pm; Sat 10:00-10:30 am · $55 per month
• Ballet Level 2 — 8 yrs. and up · Thu 4:30-5:15 pm · $69 per month
• Ballet Level 3 — 12 yrs. and up · Thu 5:15-6:15 pm · $81.50 per month · Teacher permission required.
• Adult Tap — 18 yrs. and up · Wed 7:00-7:30 pm · $58 per month
• Adult Ballet — 18 yrs. and up · Wed 7:30-8:30 pm · $79 per month
• Hip Hop Level 1 — 7-9 yrs. · Mon 5:30-6:15 pm · $67 per month

About the provider

Above the Barre Dance Academy is led by Company Director Mrs. Victoria Warren. The academy says it is a full-service dance studio and lists these credentials: Member of the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce; Member and Credentialed with Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and Dance Masters of Wisconsin; Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio; More Than Just Great Dancing Affiliated Studio; and IHSA compliant.

Schedule is subject to change. Tuition does not include showcase costume, tights & shoes. Competition poms have a Pom fee of $24 at registration for Poms. Membership fee for ATB Dance Company includes rehearsal fees, choreography fees, competition registration fees, and custom costumes. Can't make the audition?
