• Ages: 1–4 years old
• Schedule: Held Monday–Thursday from 9:00 am–1:00 pm
• Price: Tuition varies based on enrollment options.
Each child is asked to bring a non-perishable lunch, including a drink, with food that is easy for children to manage. Forms due before the first day of attendance include the State of Illinois Medical Form, Autopay for Tuition Form, and Food Allergy Form if the child has a food allergy. Children with food allergies must have an Allergy Action Plan on file. The program will not administer any over-the-counter medication to any child. All parents or authorized pickup persons must sign out each child at pickup time between 12:45 pm and 1:00 pm.
Children's Day Out operates as a ministry of Knox Presbyterian Church and welcomes the same diversity in the families and children that attend. It is a faith-based program where children live in Christian community and admits children of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. Monthly calendars and newsletters with weekly themes and Bible stories are provided. Each child may attend one or two days per week.
Children's Day Out operates as a license exempt program registered with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services that conforms with the Illinois Child Care Act, 1969, as amended: sections 7.1, 377.4, and 2.10. The mission of Children's Day Out is to help children grow socially and emotionally in a loving and nurturing setting where they learn about themselves and their world, communicate with others and live in Christian community. The leadership team includes Beth Burner, Director of Children's Day Out, and Megan Minor, Assistant Director of Children's Day Out.
