Music Together – Young Naperville Singers offers music classes where children and their grownups take part in singing, dancing, and jamming. The program also connects families with the broader Young Naperville Singers organization, which includes choral rehearsals, performances, cookie decorating classes, and private piano and voice lessons. Families receive both a CD and a digital access code so they can download or stream the Music Together songs on any device, and they may also use the free “Hello Everybody” app to access Music Together music and features at home.

• Schedule: 10-week Winter Session beginning the week of January 12, with classes running for 10 weeks
• Price: Winter Session – Sticks Tuition: $190 for the first child and $115 for each additional sibling per 10-week session; babies 8 months and under are free with a registered sibling
Music Together is an early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age five and the grownups who love them, and each session holds up to 12 children, with a minimum of 6 registered children required to run a class. Classes are open to children ages birth through age 5 with a parent or caregiver, and parents are described as their child’s most important music teacher in class. Children are never required to sit in the circle or expected to conform to an adult’s idea of participation in Music Together classes.
Families may take the Music Together songs anywhere with the “Hello Everybody” app, which is available for iPhone/iPad or Android. The app allows users to stream or download all Music Together songs, show or hide on-screen lyrics, adjust or turn off vocals, record karaoke using the device’s camera, and flip through the Singalong Storybook. As part of the global Music Together family, participating families have access to the Family Music Zone on the Music Together Worldwide website.
Payment is due at the time of registration, and refunds are not available after the first class, though make-ups can be arranged based on availability. If a class is full, families are instructed to contact the office for assistance with class choice. Babies 8 months and under are free with a registered sibling.

Music Together was first offered in 1987. Amy Parry graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. Melissa Tomei has a BA in Music Education from North Central College, a Masters in Music Education from Northern Illinois University, is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Music, and has Orff Schulwerk certification from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Jacquie Penfold Shaikh studied at New York University (BM ’05) and earned a Masters of Music in Music Education in Kodaly Methodology for the Secondary Choral Classroom from Capital University (MMME ’16).
