About
Musical Theatre Camp featuring Hamilton includes learning about the theatre, creating cohesive scripts, developing characters, and exploring the music and themes from the Broadway hit, Hamilton. Campers take part in drama games, improv, music, and movement as they collaborate to construct their own script. At the end of the camp, participants present their original work in a performance to share with family and friends.

The camp is run by American Eagle Productions, whose staff includes professional actors, directors, musicians, choreographers, musical directors, and teaching artists. Linda Madonia and Jessica Texidor lead the program and have worked together for more than 20 years, bringing productions to theatres and schools and producing Dream Big Performing Arts' Production Camp for over 3 years. American Eagle Productions has brought the performing arts to over 300 schools and groups a year in the Chicagoland area for the past 30 years and is celebrating 30 years of workshops and assembly programming. The organization’s mission is that American Eagle Productions bridges the gap between Theatre and the Classroom. The program notes that its programming builds confidence, fosters empathy, encourages collaboration, and provides a safe space for children to express themselves.
