The Conservation Foundation leads Nature On The Farm Camps & Farm Camp, and its educators are joined by volunteers from the Dickson-Murst Farm Partners and Kendall County Ag in the Classroom. Nature on the Farm Camps provide a themed, nut-free healthy snack each day, and each week has a unique theme with activities in conservation, nature exploration, and gardening. The Conservation Foundation has been working for more than 50 years since its founding in 1972, and it is one of the region’s oldest and largest not-for-profit land and watershed conservation organizations. Its mission is to improve the health of communities by preserving and restoring open space and natural lands, protecting rivers and watersheds, and promoting stewardship of the environment in northeastern Illinois. The Conservation Foundation works in DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties and also in LaSalle, DeKalb, and Grundy Counties, with support from more than 5,000 members and 500 volunteers. Green Earth Harvest is a certified organic farm program of The Conservation Foundation devoted to healthy soil, healthy vegetables, healthy people, and healthy communities.
