About

Wilton Sweet Studio Kids' Camps focus on hands-on baking and decorating, with each learner working on edible projects. Campers take part in interactive lessons that include both baking and decorating activities. At the end of each day, students take home the creations they make during class and receive a recipe booklet so they can recreate their favorite dishes at home.

• Ages: 8–12 years old
• Schedule: Spring and summer camp options in 2026, including a two-day Sweet & Savory Kid’s Spring Break Baking Camp, several week-long summer camps, and a four-day Summer Adventures with Cakes and Cookies Camp

Dewey McKinley Wilton began his career in 1912 as a candymaker, and in 1929 he founded The Wilton School of Cake Decorating. For nearly a century, Wilton has been teaching cake decorating and confectionary art to students worldwide, and the program is now led in part by Walleska Cianfanelli, Wilton’s Executive Pastry Chef and Culinary Education Lead. The mission of Wilton Sweet Studio Kids' Camps is based on the belief that students learn best by doing all steps necessary to master a technique. The camps maintain a teacher-student ratio of no greater than 1:10, and for certain recipes and group projects, students collaborate in pairs or small groups of up to four. Head instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR. Each learner has their own workstation with all tools and materials needed, all ingredients and materials for each day’s activities are provided, and each student uses a Sweet Studio apron during class. The Wilton Sweet Studio is not an allergen-free space, and some recipes may contain common allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, and wheat. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are required for safety reasons. Studio doors open 15 minutes prior to the start of class, students must be signed out by a parent, guardian, trusted adult, or sibling listed on the information form, and if pick-up is more than 15 minutes late, a late fee may be applied.
