The Academy of Movement and Music offers classes in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, with options ranging from beginner to advanced training. The program also offers private music instruction and an early childhood program with an arts-based curriculum.

The Academy of Movement and Music describes its mission as welcoming people of all backgrounds and abilities, with a purpose to nurture each student's unique gifts and help them reach their full potential. The Academy offers financial aid to several children each year so they can study dance or music or attend the arts-based preschool program. Donations to the Ursula Merten Memorial Scholarship Fund are used to provide assistance with tuition and the purchase of pointe shoes or uniforms for students with financial need. The Academy notes a history marked by the years © 2011–2022. One testimonial from a former student, Lilliana Miller, states that the Academy inspired a love of dance, provided many opportunities and lifelong friends, and that she attributes her current path to its teachers and community.
