Art Jam: A Teen-Led Artists' Collective focuses on hands-on projects such as digital illustration, mixed-media collage, street art lettering, zine-making, upcycled sculpture, screen printing, and enamel painting. Sessions follow a structure that includes a Welcome & Demo, Hands-On Creation, and Share & Reflect, and each session runs in a three-hour format. The program includes a culminating Showcase where the final session turns the studio into a pop-up gallery and teens invite family and friends to view and purchase works.

• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer 2025 and fall options, with three-hour sessions offered Monday to Friday in the late morning and afternoon
• Price: Drop-In: $40 per session (subject to space); 5-Day Pass: $150 total (saves $50; includes all materials and Showcase Night invite); 10-Day Pass: $300 total (saves $100; includes all materials and Showcase Night invite); Sibling Discount: 10% off per additional sibling pass; Volunteer Credit: Teens who volunteer four hours may earn a $20 credit toward their pass

Workshops are led by artist Cheryl Vargas, Founder and Creative in Chief of Studio 928, who is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago with a BA in Graphic Arts and has many years of experience collaborating with Fortune 500 clients like Disney, Netflix, and LinkedIn. Cheryl Vargas is the 2023–2024 President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Chicago chapter, a former President of NAWBO Chicago, a Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses Alumni Ambassador, a Girl Scout leader, and a former docent at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio. The program is part of the work of Dothegood.art, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm of Studio 928, which states a mission focused on making youth art education programs in Oak Park accessible to all and on fostering a creative community grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, respect, collaboration, and open-mindedness. Through Art Studio 928 and Dothegood.art, their creative initiatives support youth art programs and include partnerships with local schools and organizations to expand access to art education.
