Dottie's Art Studio

Dottie's Art Studio offers Avian Artistry classes, a Christmas Art Camp ANIME/MANGA two-day workshop, a Valentine Painting Mommy and Me or any family or couple session, Jr Art League, Art Camp, parties, Pick a Painting sessions, Adult Art Lessons, and commissioned Dog and Cat Portraits hand painted in watercolor and religious works for commission. The Avian Artistry classes combine Birds Unlimited and Dottie’s Art Studio and move through pencil sketching, inks, watercolor, and acrylic painting. The Valentine Painting session creates separate paintings that form one full picture when hung together, and the Junior Art League includes exploration of new mediums, discovery of famous artists from history, new techniques, field trips, visiting artist presentations, and making new friends.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Avian Artistry classes meet on select dates in September, November, December, and January for 2-hour sessions; Christmas Art Camp ANIME/MANGA runs over two days in early January with 2.5-hour sessions each day; the Valentine Painting session runs for 2 hours on a Saturday in early February; Junior Art League runs from the beginning of September till the end of May.
• Price: Avian Artistry is $100 for four classes or $30 per individual class; Christmas Art Camp ANIME/MANGA is $75; Valentine Painting Mommy and Me or any family or couple is $20 per child and $25 per adult.

The mission statement for Dottie’s Art Studio is “The HeART Of Art Grows Here.” Children in the Junior Art League will have opportunities to join in on community service. Miss Chocolate will be teaching some of the Jr. Art League classes. Pups Portraits and More offers Dog and Cat Portraits hand painted in watercolor, and Fine Art Works of Faith features Dottie’s religious works for commission. Dottie’s Art Studio has been in operation since at least 2015 and is about five minutes from downtown Plainfield.
