River Forest Youth Soccer offers soccer for children and organizes soccer games. The program runs a spring soccer program for children in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. RFYS is run by an all-volunteer group that includes Board members and coaches.

River Forest Youth Soccer is a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to provide soccer opportunities to children who live or attend school in River Forest. RFYS is affiliated with the Illinois Youth Soccer Association and is a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS and the State of Illinois. RFYS is a Park District of River Forest member affiliate and pays a $15.00 head fee per player to the Park District, as well as additional costs for Keystone lights, goals, and advertisements in Park District brochures. RFYS promotes VIP Soccer through OP AYSO, Chicago Fire Soccer Club, the U.S. Men’s National Team, the U.S. Women’s National Team, Chicago Red Stars Soccer, MLS Soccer, and Goals For Haiti via site links.
Families can order RFYS equipment bags and practice t-shirts, and all bags are red and black and include the player name and RFYS logo. The leadership team includes roles such as Regional Commissioner, Treasurer, division coordinators from Kindergarten through U19 Coed, Secretary, Referee Coordinator, Safety/Legal Coordinator, Registrar, Social Media, Sponsorship Coordinator, Team Photos, Fall Fest, Equipment/Lost & Found, Uniforms & Merchandise, and Special Events Coordinator.
