It’s A W.I.N. (Art and Wellness in Nature) includes field trips, nature outings, and arts activities. The program takes place through Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods and includes collaboration with community partners for these activities. More than 2,000 children and their families take part in these outdoor and arts experiences each year through the program and related offerings.
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods promotes the importance of nature for nurturing personal and community wellbeing, cultivating creativity, and inspiring learning. Brushwood is on a mission to explore the intersectionality of art, health, justice, and nature to create a more equitable world. Dynamic year-round programs at Brushwood Center explore themes on equity, justice, and the impact of nature on wellbeing with more than 300 artists each year. More than 2,000 children and their families access the outdoors through field trips, nature outings, and arts activities with community partners annually, and Brushwood collaborates with more than 90 partners locally and nationally.
