The High School Golf Program is described as an opportunity to become familiar with Sugar Creek Golf Course, which is the home course for both Willowbrook Boys/Girls and York Girls golf teams, and includes equipment analysis and advice on how to make the most out of practice time.

Sugar Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 32 course with large, smoothly contoured Penncross bentgrass greens and a 3-acre pond that comes into play on four of the nine holes. Renovations in 2003 added sand traps and tees, extended the cart path system, and changed hole #8 from a par 3 to a par 4, and renovations in 2023 restored the eroding creek shoreline and dredged the pond, replaced rusted steel retaining walls with natural shoreline stone and vegetation/native grasses, created a restored stream channel including a deep pond area for golf course irrigation and wildlife habitat, and added native plants, shrubs, and trees around the shoreline. The driving range has 25 hitting stations with target greens and various yardage flags and markers, and the clubhouse includes a banquet room with a private bar and outside deck area with capacity up to 70 guests, along with a golf shop that stocks name brand clothing, accessories, and state of the art equipment from leading golf club manufacturers.

Sugar Creek Golf Course is owned and operated by the Elmhurst Park District and Village of Villa Park and serves as the home course for both Willowbrook Boys/Girls and York Girls golf teams. Kevin Goss has been Sugar Creek’s Golf Course Superintendent since 2009 and received the 2025 Environmental Leaders in Golf Award for Communication and Outreach.
