About
Villa Park Warriors Football & Cheer offers flag football, Warrior Flag Football, tackle football, 7 v 7 football, and several cheer options including cheerleading, Tiny Tots & Mini Cheer, competition cheer, and seasonal Cheer Spring Camps such as the 2026 Warriors Spring Cheer Camp. The program also includes events and activities like Warrior Fall Crawl, Warrior Pairing Night, a Yankee Candle Fundraiser, Team Picture Day, Impact Testing for tackle football players, and marching in the Villa Park Independence Day Parade.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: Practices are typically held 1–2 times a week, with dates and times determined by individual coaches, and there are 8 games per season.
• Price: Season registration fees are $125 through July 18th with multi-child discounts across all programs; beginning July 19th, a $50 late fee is added to all registrations, and there is a mandatory $75 fundraising commitment per player in the flag football program for the 2025 season.
The program’s mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable recreational experience for all players and their families regardless of skill level, and to offer children an excellent, affordable Warrior flag football program as part of the Warrior family. The in-house Warrior Flag program is open to boys and girls in 1st–8th grade and is described as one of the biggest flag programs in the area, with a focus on teaching basic skills, terminology, positions, offensive and defensive plays, sportsmanship, teamwork, and what it means to succeed through hard work and discipline. All flag football players are provided with a jersey, flags, a soft style rugby helmet, and a mouth guard, and players are encouraged to bring plastic molded cleats and a protective cup if needed.
As a feeder program to Willowbrook High School, Villa Park Warriors Football & Cheer states that children are given the opportunity to play on the high school football field and become a true member of the Warrior family. The organization partners with Yankee Candle to support fundraising goals and invites families to join the Warrior group in marching in the Villa Park Independence Day Parade.
