Sherwood Oaks Weekday Preschool & Kindergarten

Sherwood Oaks Weekday Preschool & Kindergarten includes daily activities such as prayer time, pledges to the flags, Bible stories, songs, memory verses, and chapel time with guest speakers. Children take part in introduction of the letter, number, and shape of the week, as well as calendar time, weather, show n tell, and star of the week. Classroom time also includes reading and writing skills, drawing, painting, cutting, gluing, creating, constructing with craft materials, dramatic play, building, art explorations, snack time, daily outdoor play, and daily gym play, along with special events like Pumpkin Day, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter classroom parties, a Thanksgiving Feast, Pajama Day, Super Bowl Day, Dr. Seuss Week, field trips away from the school, and visits from guests such as a policeman, a dental hygienist, and Kasey – fire safety dogs.

• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday between 9:00am and 1:00pm, with nursery, preschool, kindergarten readiness, and kindergarten classes offered in 1–5 day per week formats and an optional Lunch Bunch from 12:00pm–1:00pm on select days
• Price: There is a $100 deposit/activity fee for Infant/Toddler and a $125 deposit/activity fee for preschool/kindergarten; Lunch Bunch is $6 per day; 2026–2027 Infant and Toddler Class Fees range from $945–$3780 for the year depending on days enrolled; 2026–2027 Young Two's through Kindergarten Class Fees range from $1431–$3564 for the year depending on days enrolled; Kindergarten 5-day tuition is $5000 for 10 months, with a $125 registration fee and a $150 curriculum fee

The program’s stated mission is to be a Christian-based program committed to helping children grow spiritually, academically, and socially, embracing each child where they are developmentally and using daily activities and experiences as teaching moments. All classrooms are led by qualified teachers who love the Lord and have a heart for children, and all teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid. Teacher to student ratios range from 1:4 to 1:8 depending on the age of the class. The leadership team includes Marie Robertson, Executive Director; Kelly Pitner, Bloomington Nursery/Toddler Coordinator; and Karla Holck, Bedford Director. The kindergarten class meets all the standards for the state of Indiana. For Lunch Bunch, each child provides their own lunch and water bottle.
