Teach and Play ABA is a multi-speciality treatment facility that offers ABA therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. The program provides ABA therapy to individuals as young as 18 months and up to the age of 13, and provides speech and occupational therapy services to children with and without a diagnosis of autism. Teach and Play ABA is dedicated to providing individualized treatment to children with autism in a manner that will promote their ability to gain skills in their natural environment. The program utilizes natural environment training, modeling, video modeling, and repetitive practice, and uses a variety of assessments to identify social skill strengths, social motivations, and preferred activities and topics. It includes a Preschool Readiness Behavioral Program that targets the Indiana Department of Education’s suggested kindergarten readiness skills and behaviors, and a school-aged children’s ABA program available to learners up to the age of 18 years old, or sometimes 20 years old depending on insurance coverage. The program prioritizes real-life skills and teaches adaptive skills such as waiting, tolerating “No,” following instructions, and communicating wants and needs, and offers a play-based, comprehensive approach with caring, compassionate, non-restrictive ABA therapy. A multi-disciplinary team provides ABA, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, and services can be provided in homes, schools, daycares, and other locations throughout the Bloomington and surrounding area, including Bloomington, IN, Bedford, IN, and the Bloomfield/Odon, IN area. The facility provides constant and familiar staffing, background checks for all staff, program regulation and oversight, daily parent notes, and has security cameras throughout that parents are welcome to review with a clinician at any time. Teach and Play ABA was started to give clients and families a clinic that utilizes natural environment training in a pre-school setting. Sara Shrivastav, MA, BCBA, has been a board-certified behavior analyst since 2017 and has been practicing ABA professionally since 2014. Teach and Play ABA offers free behavior/developmental consultation, free occupational therapy consultation, and free speech consultation.
