Columbus Youth Camp Specialty Camps offer themed weeks that include activities such as STEM, sports, arts, cooking, and outdoor adventure. Campers take part in hands-on activities and projects, occasional field trips, and traditional summer camp activities like swimming, hiking trails, playing games, water fun, and learning how to paddle on the lake. The program also uses features such as a zip line, a team challenge course, two challenge courses, a mountain bike trail, an outdoor theater, and experiential learning programs and training for youth and adults, along with recreation at the Boys & Girls Club and outdoor adventures at Columbus Youth Camp, and activities like designing 3D projects.

Foundation For Youth has been a dedicated community pillar for youth and families across Bartholomew County and beyond since 1928, and Columbus Youth Camp has been providing fun, laughter, and learning since 1935. The mission of Foundation For Youth is “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” Having staff certified through the Child and Youth Care Certification Board (CYCCB) reflects that team members have met nationally recognized professional standards in areas such as youth development, relationship building, crisis intervention, and ethical practice. Foundation For Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and STAY Youth is designated a Platinum Level participant, indicating a commitment to transparency. M.E.T.A.S. (Making Education Thrive Around Summertime), a partnership between Foundation For Youth and Su Casa Columbus, focuses on preventing summer learning loss for Latino students in Bartholomew County and provides free transportation, meals, culturally responsive support, and strong community partnerships, and Foundation For Youth relies on community support, volunteers, and partnerships to sustain its programs and expand its outreach.
