About

Academy for Young Achievers includes daily Spanish instruction for infants through Pre-K, STEM activities, and project-based hands-on investigations. Children take part in outdoor learning, field trips, and time in a basketball court-sized indoor gym for running, playing, dancing, and exploring. They also spend time in a garden planting, tending, and eating tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and more, and use playground equipment for climbing and swinging, as well as playing games in a basketball court-sized gymnasium.

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Teachers at Academy for Young Achievers are educated up to the Master’s level, with certifications up to Master’s Degrees in Childhood Education. The program is led by owner Tori Wallace and co-owner radiologist Dr. Keristen Brantley. Its stated mission is “To Prepare Each Student For Lifelong Academic Success Through High-Quality Early Childhood Experiences.” The program has a Paths to QUALITY™ rating and is part of a select group of early childhood care and education programs from around the world that have shown an exceptional commitment to professional and programmatic quality.

Families receive rewards for referrals with a free gift card, and a dedicated Spanish teacher provides daily Spanish instruction for infants through Pre-K. Children are served home-cooked breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner at no extra cost in a nut-free environment approved by CACFP, and diapers, formula, and wipes are provided free. Children help prepare fruits and vegetables they grew in the garden, and the program offers safe transportation between the Academy and school for before- and after-care. The program uses The Creative Curriculum® in Montessori-inspired classrooms with child-sized furniture and children’s artwork on the walls, and includes a Montessori-inspired environment with child-sized furniture and materials, a basketball court-sized indoor gym, a brand-new playground, and a garden outdoors.

Families have access to a free parent app, Procare Connect®, which provides daily pictures, videos, and classroom news. The program states a guarantee that children will be kinder-ready and reading at Grade K or 1 level by the time they graduate from preschool. Security features include restricted access controls on all entrances, security cameras monitoring the facility, a ZONO cabinet for thorough sanitization of toys and supplies, dedicated onsite cleaners, and daily sanitization. The environment is described as nut-free, and there is a dedicated space for breastfeeding. Quarterly events unite the community, including Father’s Day celebrations and outdoor barbeque parties, and the garden was built by one of the community’s families.
