Asante Art Institute

The Asante Art Institute offers the Asante Children’s Theater Academy, a program that has provided training in acting, singing, and dance since 1990. It also offers Prep4Life, which includes storytelling, acting, poetry, writing, singing, and physical movement to music, plus Prep Upper Class, where teens use storytelling, spoken word, acting, and content creation in a hands-on setting.

Programs

• Asante Children’s Theater Academy — Since 1990, this intensive program offers training in acting, singing, and dance.
• Prep4Life — Youth discover artistic skills in storytelling, acting, poetry, writing, singing, and physical movement to music.
• Prep Upper Class — Teens use the fundamentals of storytelling, spoken word, acting, and content creation in a practical, hands-on setting.
• Zora’s Daughters — Through reading, writing, and public speaking, girls build confidence so they can speak up for themselves and their community.

Since 1990, the Asante Children’s Theater (ACT) Academy has been a cornerstone of performing arts excellence. The program’s mission is to cultivate global citizens through the arts, and it uses the arts to support the personal and artistic development of youth and adults from all walks of life.
