Circle City Futbol Club is a not for profit youth soccer organization that is run entirely by volunteers. It is located in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis and is the 8th largest youth soccer program in Indiana, as well as the second largest completely volunteer-run, non-profit youth soccer organization in the state. The club offers academy and elite travel teams, and travel soccer requires a try-out and players are asked to join the team. Both recreational and travel programs play games away from the CCFC home fields. Spirit wear is available online through the club’s partner, Soccer Village. The club depends on volunteers for coaching, serving on the board, coordinating uniforms, running the concession stand, driving golf carts, and communicating with families.
Circle City Futbol Club was established in 1994 and was originally named Franklin Township Soccer Club. Its mission is to provide a fun, safe and healthy environment for all soccer players, because soccer is for everyone. The club states that it is committed to providing leadership, training, facilities and programs to its members, with a primary goal of fostering the mental, emotional and physical well-being of youth through soccer. The mission also includes developing psychological and social characteristics, physical skills and fitness, promoting good sportsmanship through a positive learning environment, and encouraging community volunteerism by offering educational programs so that parents can interact with youth through coaching.
Each season, Circle City Futbol Club hosts a canned food drive benefiting Servant’s Heart of Indy, which supports local families. The club has donated soccer uniforms and equipment to schools in its area and has shared gear with organizations around the world.
Circle City Futbol Club abides by the rules and regulations of the Indiana Soccer Association and U.S. Soccer.
Parent feedback includes comments that the program is organized, that coaches are valued, and that families plan to continue playing with the club. Parents have described both recreational and travel programs as positive experiences and have noted that their children have enjoyed their time with Circle City Futbol Club.
