Create Art Studio

Create Art Studio offers Mini-Maker classes for ages 1.5-4, Art Explorer classes for ages 4-6, Studio Explorer classes for ages 6-9, Art Lab for ages 10-17, and Creatives for adults ages 18 and up. Art Explorer and Studio Explorer include drawing, painting, sculpting, and printing. Mini-Maker, Art Explorer, and Studio Explorer are drop off classes, and classes are offered in 6-week semesters.

• Creatives — 18+ yrs · For adults; offerings include workshops, happy hours, and pop-ups; offerings rotate monthly.

About the provider

Create Art Studio is a process based art studio where people can celebrate being an artist and being themselves. The studio is led by Chrissy Sweigart, Co-Founder and Art Teacher, and Alissa Moody, Co-Founder and Art Enthusiast. Chrissy Sweigart has a BS in Visual Arts All Grade from Ball State University and has taught art for over 20 years. She has taught in parochial, private, and public schools in Indianapolis and Chicago, created art extravaganza summer art camps, was a member of the Indianapolis Children’s Museum Guild, and most recently taught early childhood through lower school art at Sycamore School in Indianapolis. Alissa Moody has years of pediatric experience and worked as a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Peyton Manning and Riley Children’s Hospitals for over 13 years.

Drop in classes are available if session enrollment does not reach capacity, and for open studio and pop up sessions. The studio is flexible with ages as needed. Children should dress to make a mess and have fun.
