Create Art Studio offers art classes, workshops, parties, events, tween nights, family explorer experiences, camps, open studio, and pop up sessions. The studio offers Mini-Maker classes, Art Explorer classes, Studio Explorer classes, and Art Lab classes, and usually has no more than 12 students in a class. Smocks and aprons are available, and families are encouraged to dress kids to make a mess and have fun.

Co-founders of Create Art Studio are Chrissy Sweigart, Co-Founder and Art Teacher, and Alissa Moody, Co-Founder and Art Enthusiast. Chrissy has a BS in Visual Arts All Grade from Ball State University and has taught art for over 20 years to preschool-age children and older in parochial, private, and public schools in Indianapolis and Chicago, as well as in summer art camps. She has been a member of the Indianapolis Children’s Museum Guild, where she helped bring the Haunted House to life, and has taught early childhood through lower school art at Sycamore School in Indianapolis. Alissa has over 13 years of experience as a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Peyton Manning and Riley Children’s Hospitals. Create Art Studio states that it is a process based art studio where participants can celebrate being an artist and being themselves, and that it fosters a community vibe where people can come together and explore ways to create and communicate through art.
