Camp Delafield is a summer day camp focused on reaching the “whole child” through academic mornings, including daily 1:1 Orton-Gillingham tutoring, and play-focused activities each afternoon, and is designed for students ages 7–12. Dii provides a college prep evaluation for students age 16 and older. The organization serves students, parents, adults, and educators who are impacted by dyslexia and other language learning difficulties through several primary programs using the Orton-Gillingham approach, and has served more than 5,000 students over the past 36 years. The Dyslexia Institute of Indiana is a registered nonprofit organization recognized by the federal government, has raised millions for programs through donations, and has 82 staff members across all Indiana counties. Dii has been helping children with dyslexia and other learning differences improve literacy skills since it was incorporated in 1989, and in 2025 it marks 36 years of operation. The organization’s mission states that, believing all people are entitled to fulfill their potential, the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana exists to serve children, adolescents, and adults with specific learning disabilities. Deniese Hofmeister is the CEO of the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana.
