Eiteljorg Explorers Summer Camp is a program for students entering grades 4–6 that takes place at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. The Eiteljorg Museum states that it explores the intersection of the arts, histories and cultures of the past and present by sharing the diverse stories of the American West and the Indigenous Peoples of North America. The museum acknowledges that it sits upon the lands of the Miami, Potawatomi, Lenape, Shawnee, Kickapoo, and Peoria peoples and states that the lands of the Eiteljorg Museum and Indianapolis, Indiana, are and always will be Native lands first. The museum’s leadership team includes Director of Communications and Marketing, Katie Warthan, and Public Relations Manager, Bryan Corbin. The museum’s community involvement includes the Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market & Festival, the Día de Muertos Community Celebration, and the Indigenous Peoples Day Community Celebration featuring Native Pride Productions Inc.
