About
Indiana State Museum Camps and Youth Programs take place within the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites system, where visitors of all ages engage in hands-on, minds-on opportunities. These programs include camps, such as summer break camps, as well as youth programs, early childhood programs, public and family programs, and other education programs that explore Indiana’s art, science, culture, and innovation through galleries and exhibits ranging from Ice Age fossils to future-focused ideas.

The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites system includes 11 historic sites across Indiana that share stories of the Underground Railroad, renowned artists, mansions, and Native American earthworks, and holds more than 500,000 objects related to the human experience, the natural world, and the Hoosier spirit. The flagship museum is constructed with Indiana limestone and sandstone and features sculptures representing each of the state’s 92 counties. The organization’s mission statement is: “We ignite wonder, inspire curiosity, reveal stories and create connections,” and it describes itself as a museum and historic site system rooted throughout Indiana to serve Hoosiers but made for everyone.
