Indy Stars Gymnastics began November 3, 2015. The program is led by Debbie Hamby and Gregg Hamby. Debbie and Gregg Hamby have been involved with gymnastics since their daughter began taking classes some 18 years ago, and they have worked many years with children with special needs.
The stated mission is to provide a gym where children of all abilities can come and achieve excellence in a comprehensive program of recreational and competitive gymnastics, cheer, tumbling and dance, and to be a place where children can thrive and reach for the stars, realizing their dreams and attaining their personal best. The program highlights a family friendly environment, coaches who are excellent in their teaching discipline, and coaches who are exemplary in their conduct and caring for children. It also emphasizes a culture of good communication between parents or other loved ones, coaches, and the owners, along with a commitment to provide honest and complete information about each child's progress. They plan to incorporate a nonprofit arm to their business and make gymnastics available for children of all abilities.
