About

Metropolitan Youth Ballet of Indiana offers training in ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, character, contemporary, modern, and jazz. The program includes a Day Program for homeschool students, a Soloist Initiative, a Boys in Ballet program, and Summer Camps & Intensives. It also presents professional-quality, affordable classical ballet performances, offers a free community performance, and provides free trial classes, summer programs for dancers ages 3–19, and a video tour of the studio, along with studio rental for arts organizations.

Metropolitan Youth Ballet of Indiana is a non-profit, pre-professional ballet academy, formerly known as Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy. Its mission states that it is committed to providing exceptional dance education that nurtures dancers to their fullest potential as performing artists and engaged members of the community. Training is based on the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, and the faculty are described as experienced and dedicated, with decades of performance and teaching experience. Metropolitan Youth Ballet is an active member of the Metro Indianapolis arts community and offers free outreach events at libraries, schools, and festivals. All proceeds from programs, classes, and ticket sales are put towards programs, the education of dancers, and the improvement and safety of the dance environment.
