About

NXG Youth Motorsports Academy offers Motorsports Academy and StreetSTEM. Motorsports Academy includes class sessions with a driving suit, helmet and balaclava, neck brace, gloves, and a chest protector issued for use during class. StreetSTEM includes STEM education through RC cars.

Programs

  • Motorsports Academy — Minimum 10 years and 9 months old, maximum 15 years old; students may not hold a driver’s license of any kind; NXG participants must be proficient in 5th-grade Math and English · Weekends from April through September; MA100 classes are two days, Saturday 8am-12:30pm and Sunday 12:45-5pm; MA200-400 are one day classes, 8am-4:30pm
  • StreetSTEM — Students 10-14 years of age who have completed the third grade · Generally scheduled for Saturdays from November through March but may be offered throughout the year · S.T.E.M. education through RC cars. Classes are held in a variety of locations depending on the sponsoring organization.

About the provider

NXG Youth Motorsports, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization with over 18 seasons of history. Its mission is to motivate and prepare youth, especially those from under-represented communities, to be conscientious drivers on the road and in their lives. The leadership team includes Rod Reid, Executive Director; Marcia Zgirta, Executive Administrator; and Michael Smith, Director of Community Engagement.
