The Rec Room

The Rec Room offers pre-school classes for ages 2.5-5, gymnastics classes, and tumbling classes. Pre-school classes are 45 minutes and work around an obstacle course of mats and equipment for that age group. Gymnastics classes are 60 minutes and are divided by skill level, with floor skills for half the class and one piece of equipment, such as bars, vault, tumble track, or beam, for the other half. Tumbling classes are 60 minutes and include floor tumbling, tumble track, trampoline, and drills.

Programs

• Pre-School Classes — ages 2.5-5 (pre-kindergarten) · 45 minute classes. All classes will work around an obstacle course of mats and equipment designed for their age group.
• Gymnastics Classes — 60 minute classes divided by skill level. Every week, the class will practice floor skills for half of the class and 1 piece of equipment (bars, vault, tumble track, beam) for the other half.
• Tumbling Classes — Students must be at least 7 yr old and be able to cartwheel. · 60 minute classes divided by skill level. Every week, the class will work on floor tumbling, tumble track, trampoline and drills.

About the provider

The Rec Room was established in 1999 and has celebrated 25 years. It is described as a recreational gymnastics and tumbling facility for girls and boys ages 2.5 and up. Its main emphasis is to develop and maintain healthy, strong children through gymnastics. Classes are offered in 8-week sessions, meeting once a week. Class sizes are limited so students can participate without having to sit and wait too long. Students are evaluated every session on their progress, and when a child does something well, they ring "The Bell" and everyone claps.
