For 30 years, the Children’s Museum of Acadiana has operated as a children’s museum, opening its doors in 1996 and becoming the longest-running premier children’s museum in the eight-parish Acadiana region. The museum states that its mission is to empower children to embrace curiosity, ignite imagination, and cultivate a lifelong passion for exploration through interactive exhibits and dynamic programs that inspire critical thinking, spark creativity, and create lasting memories. It welcomes children from infancy through age ten, along with their families, caregivers, and educators, and includes sensory-friendly mornings and inclusive events. The museum partners with schools, community organizations, and families across central and south Louisiana and focuses on STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).

The leadership team includes Lore Linton, Executive Director; Jackie Armentor, Guest Experience Director; Emma Cagle, Birthday Reservations/Peek Inside Gift Shop; Rachael Gary, Education Program Manager; Amy Schwarzenbach, Grant Writer/Administrator; and Daisy Castille, Director of Finance.
