Children’s Museum of Acadiana Programs

Children’s Museum of Acadiana Programs includes Mornings at the Museum, monthly sensory-friendly mornings for families of children with ASD or sensory processing disorders; CMA Garden Club; Daily Discoveries, a ten-week summer program with a different STEAM activity each weekday visit Tuesday through Friday; STEAM Kids Sundays, held the last Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm; Toddler Music Class for infants through 4-year-olds; and Camp STEAMOLOGY for ages 5 to 10. Camp STEAMOLOGY runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with early drop-off at 8:30 am and after-camp care until 5:30 pm, and it costs $170 to $200 per session, with after-camp care at $15.00 per day.

About the provider

The museum opened in 1996 and has been serving for 30 years. Its mission is to empower children to embrace curiosity, ignite imagination, and cultivate a lifelong passion for exploration through interactive exhibits and dynamic programs. It partners with schools, community organizations, and families across central and south Louisiana and serves children, families, caregivers, and educators.

The museum serves children from infancy through age ten. Camp STEAMOLOGY has a maximum of 20 spots per session. Camp drop-off begins at 8:30 AM and pick-up is by 4:00 PM. Full payment is required at registration for holiday camps; for other camps, a 50% deposit is required and full payment is due three days before camp starts. Refunds are only issued for cancellation requests made one week prior to the session start, with a 20% processing fee. If fewer than 8 participants register, CMA may cancel the session. Returning camper discounts are not available for Holiday Camp STEAMOLOGY sessions.
