City of Lafayette Aquatics Swim Lessons offers swim lessons, year round swimming, and a clinic to work on technique, drills, and more. The program includes a Try it out day on August 6th from 6:00–7:00 and on August 7th from 6:00–7:00, along with a clinic held August 11th–14th with separate times for different age groups.

City of Lafayette Aquatics states that water safety is one of its number one goals and that it aims to promote and teach water safety to children and adults of all ages through its program. The program is led by Coach Donald. City of Lafayette Aquatics highlights community involvement through activities such as a Water Safety Awareness Day on Sunday May 15th, 2022, participation in the USA Swimming Make a Splash Program, and sharing water safety resources from organizations including Kidshealth.org, Safe Kids, the National Drowning Prevention Alliance, and USA Swimming. Through the Smiles for Swimmers Program in partnership with Balhoff Orthodontics, COLA swimmers receive a free initial exam and 5% off orthodontic treatment, and Coach Donald donates $100 to City of Lafayette Aquatics for every swimmer who starts orthodontic treatment with his office.
