Acton-Boxborough Dance Center

Acton-Boxborough Dance Center offers Moving Minis & Me for ages 1-3, where a parent or caregiver participates with the dancer, and First Steps for ages 2-3.5, a creative dance class that does not perform in the end-of-year recital. It also offers Little Dancers, Hip Hoppin’ Tots, Twirl N’ Tap, Tap N’ Tumble, leveled dance classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and boogaloo, plus Accelerate Dance Company, Tap Performing Company, and Ballet Performing Companies.

Programs

• Moving Minis & Me — 1-3 · $110 per session · Parent/caregiver participates together with the dancer.
• First Steps — 2-3.5 · Creative dance class; does not perform in the end-of-year recital.
• Little Dancers — preschool · Ballet/creative movement classes for children who are ready to participate independently of their parent/guardian.
• Hip Hoppin’ Tots — 3-5 · Learn basic jazz and hip hop steps; performs in the end-of-year recital.
• Twirl N’ Tap — 5-6 · 30 minutes of pre-ballet with 30 minutes of tap.
• Tap N’ Tumble — 4-7 · Combo of tap and tumbling.
• Leveled Dance Classes — grades 1-12 · Classes offered in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, lyrical, modern, contemporary and boogaloo.
• Accelerate Dance Company — grades 1-12 · Competitive program for dancers who want to accelerate their training, make new friends, and work in a team environment.
• Tap Performing Company — grades 1-12 · Performance-based classes with choreography to perform at community events throughout the year.
• Ballet Performing Companies — grades 1-12 · Performance-based classes with choreography to perform at community events throughout the year.

About the provider

For over 30 years, ABDC has been sharing its love of dance with the community. The program’s mission statement is “Dancing to Express, Not Dancing to Impress.” Dancers perform a holiday show at local nursing homes and on the Beacon Santa Telethon, and they fundraise throughout the year as a HOPE STUDIO for Dancers Against Cancer.

• Birthday Parties — Includes a dance class taught by an instructor, plus time for cake and presents.
• Dance & Play Days — Day of dancing, crafts, games and more for days off school.

There is a registration fee of $50 per dancer or $65/family for weekly classes. Recital costumes are $95. Tuition listed is per session. Tuition includes a recital tee shirt for the spring recital and a digital download of the spring performance video.
