The programs also offer Kids’ Club drop-in babysitting for children while parents are in the YMCA facility, and care during school vacation weeks, early release days, snow days, and other school breaks. Kids’ Club drop-in babysitting is free for families who hold a Family Membership.

• Schedule: Care is available during school vacation weeks, early release days, snow days, and other school breaks.

All programs are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and the Plaistow, New Hampshire program is licensed by the New Hampshire Department. All Kids’ Club staff are thoroughly screened and certified in CPR and First Aid. The YMCA of the North Shore is recognized as a Praesidium Accredited Organization in the prevention of child sexual abuse and is one of only 44 YMCA associations out of nearly 800 in the country with this accreditation. The organization has a Vice President of Risk Management and is Praesidium Accredited, which is described as one of the nation’s most prestigious certifications in the prevention of child sexual abuse. The seven YMCA locations partner with dozens of elementary schools to provide before and after school child care during the school year and support the educational, social, and emotional development of children in the 25 cities and towns they serve. The programs include inclusion support with highly trained Inclusion Specialists who work with families to develop strategies tailored to each child, and they offer flexible pricing so that everyone with different incomes can participate. Children ages 6 weeks to 8 years are welcome in Kids’ Club while parents are in the YMCA facility.
