Cheer Works was founded in 2021 under the leadership of owner Jenay Martell. Instructors are described as experienced and seasoned cheerleading experts. The mission of Cheer Works is to help young athletes master the fundamentals of cheerleading through after-school programs, camps, and clinics, focusing on key skills and providing athletes with a strong foundation in the essential elements of cheerleading. Under Jenay Martell’s leadership at Wando High School, the competition team won the Region title every year from 2018 to 2021. The owner expresses a commitment to giving back to the community and to growing the sport in both South Carolina and Massachusetts. The program offers after-school options in the fall and spring, summer camps focused on essential cheerleading skills, private one-on-one lessons tailored to individual needs, and single-day clinics with extended hours to help cheerleaders prepare for middle school, high school, or All-Star level. Each summer camp athlete receives a camp t-shirt and a special goodie bag, and the program operates in both South Carolina and Massachusetts.
