About
Terp Quest Summer Camp includes swimming and other pool activities, arts and crafts, sports and games, climbing, and adventure activities. Campers use features such as a rock climbing wall, a bouldering grotto, and a ropes/challenge course, and they also take part in field trips, Terp Zone Bowling, and guest presentations. Every week, campers participate in swimming or other pool activities, active and passive games, arts and crafts, climbing, and additional activities, and every Friday at Terp Quest Day Camp there is a special guest or an on-campus field trip.

• Schedule: Terp Quest offers 6 different camp weeks each summer.
Terp Quest Day Camp and Terp Quest Adventure Camp are recreational camps managed by University Recreation & Wellness. Terp Quest Adventure summer camp is designed to give 10–12 year olds the chance to be active in adventurous new ways. Children are placed in groups that allow them to interact on a daily basis with their academic and developmental peers, and Terp Quest will not allow campers to register out of age group if it is not an appropriate placement. The youngest campers must have completed a minimum of one full year of full-day kindergarten. Swimming at the camp is supervised by Red Cross certified lifeguards.
Managed by University Recreation & Wellness, the Terp Quest Summer Day Camp was started in 2006 to provide an exceptional day camp experience for the children of UMD faculty and staff and others in the surrounding community. Camp weeks include a wide variety of activities in the listed facilities with the stated staff. All adventure and climbing activities are run as “Challenge by Choice.”
