THE LAB Martial Arts & Fitness Center offers training in Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Wrestling, along with Freestyle Karate and Tae Kwon Do. The program also includes before school care, after school care, day camps, summer camps, Parents Night Out events, Mommy & Me sessions, and Senior Stretching. Instructors create an individualized plan for each member, and the first class is free.

• Schedule: Before care opens at 6 AM with transportation to school; after care runs until 6 PM with pickup from the studio, and classes are offered every day of the week with hours updated weekly on the live schedule at thelab.sites.zenplanner.com.
THE LAB Martial Arts & Fitness Center opened in March 2019, with a Child Care Center added in September 2020 for school-age children and in February 2021 for early childhood. The program is led by owner and head instructor John Givens, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in the Robson Moura lineage, who has been teaching martial arts for over 15 years. Guest instructor Jeff Mitchell is the second American Black Belt under 8-time World Champion Robson Moura. THE LAB describes itself as a progressive, forward thinking multi-purpose learning facility that focuses on the family unit as a whole and states that its goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and challenging environment for all ages. The LAB notes that it strives to stay on the cutting edge of health trends, updating programs based on new technologies and data from the medical community, and that it offers activities, learning, and discipline for children and youth as part of a group where teamwork and unity are the rule.
