Youth Classes and Summer Camps at The Delaplaine Arts Center take place in a 40,000-square-foot arts facility that includes spacious studios, five main galleries, and dedicated spaces for community artwork. During a visit, kids and families can also use Art Carts that offer different free creative activities for kids and adults.

The Delaplaine Arts Center provides the Frederick region with educational opportunities and experiences in the visual arts through classes, exhibits, and programs. The building includes the Etchison Davis Library, which is one of the largest free art reference libraries open to the public in Maryland and offers more than 3,500 art reference books, as well as a Community Art Gallery and Community Outreach Gallery that feature artworks created by local students and community groups. Exhibits in the building include an Art History Timeline from prehistory to the 1970s and the Our Industrial Past panel exhibit that tells the story of the historic Mountain City Mill building. The Delaplaine Arts Center presents more than 50 exhibitions annually in five main on-site galleries and holds more than 250 classes and workshops for all ages each year in its studios. The organization maintains three satellite galleries in partnership with Frederick County Public Libraries at the Brunswick Branch Library, Thurmont Regional Library, and Urbana Regional Library. The Delaplaine Arts Center is accredited in the Standards for Excellence program by the Standards for Excellence Institute, has been awarded Platinum Seal Status by GuideStar USA, has been named by Spur Local as one of the DC Metro region’s Critical Nonprofits, and has been voted Best Art Gallery in the annual Best of the Best by readers of the Frederick News-Post every year since 2013 and Best Art Gallery in the annual Best of Frederick by readers of Frederick Magazine every year since 2010.
