Youth Classes and Summer Camps at The Delaplaine Arts Center include art camps, classes, and one-day workshops, along with exhibits and programs. Families can also take part in family-friendly events, gallery talks, group tours of the facilities, history, programs, and exhibitions, and use Art Carts with free activities.

• Schedule: Nine weeks of morning and afternoon art camps from mid-June through mid-August
Summer camps at The Delaplaine Arts Center are taught by qualified artist-educators and adhere to Educational Standards. The Delaplaine Arts Center provides the Frederick region with educational opportunities and experiences in the visual arts through classes, exhibits, and programs. The organization presents more than 50 exhibitions annually in five main on-site galleries and offers more than 250 classes and workshops for all ages each year. The Etchison Davis Library holds more than 3,500 art reference books and is regularly open to the public at no charge, and the Art Carts offer different free activities for kids and adults.
The Delaplaine Arts Center maintains three satellite galleries in partnership with Frederick County Public Libraries at the Brunswick Branch Library, Thurmont Regional Library, and Urbana Regional Library. The Community Art Gallery and the Community Outreach Gallery feature artworks created by local students and community groups, and the Gift Gallery retail shop supports local artists through consignment-based sales that also support educational programs at the Delaplaine. The Delaplaine Arts Center collaborates with nonprofits, community groups, government agencies, businesses, and others.
The Delaplaine Arts Center is accredited in the Standards for Excellence program by the Standards for Excellence Institute, holds Platinum Seal Status from GuideStar USA, and has been named by Spur Local as one of the DC Metro region’s Critical Nonprofits. It has been voted Best Art Gallery in the annual Best of the Best by readers of the Frederick News-Post every year since 2013, and Best Art Gallery in the annual Best of Frederick by readers of Frederick Magazine every year since 2010.
