Frederick Children's Chorus

Frederick Children's Chorus focuses on singing and music in a chorus setting, including events such as a Messiah Sing-Along. The chorus is non-audition and all-inclusive, and it welcomes children and youth to take part in chorus activities centered on raising young voices in song. The chorus offers a variety of programs that involve singing and music for participants.

In 1985, Judy DuBose established the Frederick Children’s Chorus. The mission of Frederick Children’s Chorus is to bring children together for the joyful exploration and celebration of singing. The chorus states that every child, irrespective of musical background or financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to develop their singing abilities to the fullest. The organization notes that 64% of children who currently sing in a chorus get mostly A's in school. Frederick Children’s Chorus is sponsored by Middletown Valley Bank and Hawkins Landscaping, and it partners with Colonial Jewelers and their Em(brace)let program, through which Colonial Jewelers donates 100% of the proceeds from a special bracelet to the featured organization, and the chorus is a proud recipient of this program.
