Tree Trekkers Summer Camp offers daily climbing on aerial adventure courses, including time on 16 different trails with 8 difficulty levels and 2–3 hours of climbing each day. Campers take part in Ground School for harnessing, demonstration, and practice before climbing Timber Trek trails such as purple, yellow, green, blue, red, and up to Double Black, depending on the day and skill level. The program also includes team building activities, games, educational activities related to the camp theme, and themed crafts such as Hawaiian lei making, designing a surfboard, mini underwater clay aquariums, paper bag tikis, Russian nesting dolls, Chinese lanterns, Great Pyramid crafts, paper teepee crafts, an America 250 surprise craft, clown hat and bow tie crafts, lion and tiger puppets, acrobat people crafts, circus tent coloring pages, word unscramble games, an Egg Drop activity, on-course races and relay races, and a bonfire with pizza and s’mores on the last day of camp.
• Ages: 7–15 years old
• Schedule: Tuesday–Friday sessions, 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with campers meeting with an adult at Pavilion 3 between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for sign-in and between 2:25 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for sign-out; each session runs Tuesday–Friday on specific dates from mid-June through mid-August.
• Price: $425 per session, including a Tree Trekkers t-shirt, climbing gloves, water bottle, all materials for activities, and a last-day bonfire with pizza and s’mores; a $25 multiple child discount is available and a $50 early registration discount is available with code EARLYBIRD50 before 1/31.
Tree Trekkers Summer Camp is recommended for ages 7 and older, and the youngest camper allowed is a 7-year-old turning 8 who is ideally going into second grade and has climbed at the park before. The camp offers multiple themed sessions, including Aloha Summer, Around the World, Circus, STEM-Survivor, and Spy, and states that “zipping is better than zooming.” The camp notes that everyone on the property must sign a waiver, legal guardians must sign campers in and out each day, and campers must bring their own lunch, snacks, and drinks; gloves are recommended but not required, and campers may bring their own climbing gloves or purchase them from Tree Trekkers. The mission statement for Tree Trekkers Summer Camp is that the camp encourages person to person communication, outdoor socialization, physical fitness, imagination, and a love for nature.
