Nike Basketball Camp at Hood College includes fundamental instruction, individual development, and team play. Campers take part in morning and afternoon training sessions that cover fundamentals, footwork, balance, conditioning, shooting drills, post and perimeter shooting, and strength, conditioning and performance training. The camp also includes off-court discussions and activities that focus on skills and techniques that will help boost overall skill set and confidence.

This co-ed day camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm, with check-in on Monday at 8:30am and a closing ceremony on Friday at 11:30am. Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience at the director’s discretion and are supervised by staff during camp hours. The stated staff-to-camper ratio is 1:10, and most camps have an athletic trainer on-site, with campers transported to the nearest hospital in case of an emergency.
Campers receive a Nike Basketball Camp t-shirt and other prizes at this complete skills session, and basketballs are provided for instruction during camp. Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35, with a choice between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which are passed out on the last day of camp. Lunch is not provided, and families are instructed to send a packed or sack lunch, along with athletic clothing, athletic shoes, a water bottle, snacks, and a small gym bag or backpack.
The camp is directed by Jourdain Blackmon, who has over seven years of coaching experience and has worked at nearly 20 Nike Basketball Camps since 2014. Blackmon is a high school basketball coach at Timbercreek High School in Sicklerville, New Jersey, and a former trainer who has emphasized being aggressive offensively, character building, playing with passion, fundamentals, footwork, and increasing basketball IQ and confidence. He played point guard at Clark Atlanta University from 2006–2010, where the team won its division in his senior year with a 24–7 record, ranked #17 in the nation, and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA II Tournament, and he was #3 in the nation in steals that same year. Pro Level Training Nike Basketball Camps state that their mission is to provide players with the skills and mental approach they need to become a better and more explosive player.
