Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Council Youth Sports and Camps offers a wide range of activities, including girls softball, martial arts, soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby, football, tennis, pickleball, yoga, t’ai chi, and fencing. The program also includes Girls’ Sunday Shoot-around Basketball, dance, BASS (Baltimore Area Soaring Society), Lutherville Lappers, Early Bird Gym at Lutherville and Pinewood, a Multi-Language Program, RAC (Ridgely Activity Center), Snow Club, Chesapeake Concert Band, Cooperative Tots Pre-school, and Wreaths Across America. Summer options include general summer camps, basketball camp, Championship Soccer camp, flag football camp, PE Games & All Sports camp, Robotics & Technology camp, and Team Sports camps, along with offerings such as Softball Challenger, men’s and co-ed slow pitch softball, girls volleyball, girls softball, a ladies tennis league, youth Snow Club, and youth and adult soccer.

Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Council Youth Sports and Camps has been providing recreational activities for youth and adults since 1949 and offers registration in fall, winter, spring, and summer. The stated mission of the Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Office and the Department of Recreation and Parks is to provide innovative recreational experiences and social enrichment opportunities in various safe and attractive parks and sites. Community involvement options include supporting the LTRC community with a tax-deductible donation and participation in the Wreaths Across America program.

Program and activity chairs and instructors include Neal Driscoll for youth baseball, Eric Kihn for youth basketball, Garrett Dachille for Girls Sunday Shootaround Basketball, Bob Turner for BASS, Rod Norris for Norris Team Sports camps, Gail Herman as Camp Soccer chair, Ali Andrzejewski as Camp Soccer coach, Kathy O’Melia for Robotics & Technology camp, Greg Kallur as Camp Technology instructor, Mike Allman for Chesapeake Concert Band, Jennifer Phillips for Cooperative Tots Pre-school, Dani DiGiacomo and Veronica Heller as dance co-chairs and instructors, Katrina Schrader for Early Bird Gym at Pinewood, Dana Gordon for youth fencing, Krystal Krause for Ridgely field hockey, Phil McCluskey for youth football, Pat O’Connor for adult lacrosse, Rachel Jones for women’s lacrosse, Josh Kakel for youth lacrosse, Amy Feltman for Lutherville Lappers, David Huya for martial arts, Karthik Arumugam and Ganesh Munisamy for the Multi-Language Program, Ross Germano for pickleball, Tricia Sakles for the Ridgely Activity Center and Ridgely boys’ soccer, Mike Delia for youth rugby, James Ruley for Snow Club, Colin Worrall and Carrie Smith for adult soccer, TJ Shrager as youth soccer chair with Kiera Branon as youth soccer admin, Mike Madsen for girls softball, Tom Harrington for men’s and co-ed slow pitch softball, Raine Valentine as Ridgely girls softball coach, Danetta Garfink for the ladies tennis league, Monica Bream as girls volleyball chair with Jen Ruggles as girls volleyball coach, Bill Kalista for Wreaths Across America, and Dave Schaller as yoga instructor. The program notes that job opportunities include flexible hours up to 29 hours a week, community engagement, and a wide variety of experiences, and that individuals must complete a background check and be available to work evenings and some weekends.
