The Goddard School of Mount Airy

The Goddard School of Mount Airy offers activities that include American Sign Language, engineering, handwriting, physical fitness, sports and fitness, yoga and mindfulness, and Summer Fun. Children have access to an outdoor classroom, playgrounds, a basketball court, and a rock wall, and the program also offers before-school and after-school options as well as secondary languages.

The Goddard School of Mount Airy opened in May of 2014. The onsite owner is Gina, and her husband Doug is also part of the leadership team. Gina and Doug are very involved in the community.

The school uses the Wonder of Learning education program and an expert curriculum with experienced teachers in a nurturing environment. It offers daily photos and updates and follows rigorous health and safety protocols. Features at the school include a biometric entry device, Halo hand scanner, outdoor security cameras, gate alarm, finger guards, parking lot bollards, a disinfectant sprayer, and a water filtration system.

The Goddard School of Mount Airy is proudly accredited by Maryland Accreditation from January 2020 through January 2030, and The Goddard School is nationally accredited by Cognia.

Parent feedback mentions an amazing and responsive team, teachers who are described as awesome and very engaged, and administration that is described as articulate, organized, responsive, and very nice. Families report feeling well informed about their children’s progress, describe the atmosphere as kind and nurturing, and note that the school is new and very clean. Several parents say their children have learned a lot through the program, including one who shared that their child learned to talk with the help of the teachers even with a speech delay.
