Health Unlimited Kids’ Activities and Aquatics Programs include water-based options such as water aerobics, Deep H2O, Aqua Zumba, lap swimming, water walking, swim lessons, swim clinics, a swim team program, Masters swimming, adult swim lessons, private swim lessons, and a USA Swim Team. The program also offers Kids’ Circuit, Summer Camp, Kids Club, access to the Tumble Room, The Yard with interactive games, dodgeball in The Yard, pickleball, cycling, group exercise classes, personal training, small group training, Circuit (15 mins of fitness), birthday parties, and access to the Mpulse Sauna.

Owner and General Manager Dan Strayton began operating Health Unlimited on November 1, 1995 with the goal of providing an unintimidating, professional, and friendly environment in which individuals and families of all ages and fitness levels can improve their health and enrich their lives through exercise. Health Unlimited describes offering quality fitness programs, fun activities, and a comfortable environment, including popular swim lesson and other aquatics programs, high quality strength training and cardiovascular exercise equipment, over 70 group exercise classes each week, a spacious and open facility, and a friendly, welcoming staff. Health Unlimited has been providing health and fitness services to the Mt. Airy community for nearly 30 years, and over the last 30+ years it has expanded from 4,000 to 35,000 square feet.
Health Unlimited opened its health club in 1991 and changed hands to the current owners in November of 1995, and the current owners are described as a local family with a long history in Mt. Airy. One member, M. Carter, states that being a member and having access to many positive activities and people has greatly enhanced life when entering semi-retirement. Another member, Jeannette L., states that there is something for everyone of all ages, mentioning equipment, classes, trainers, circuit, pool, and activities of all kinds, and describes it as a family atmosphere.
