About

U.S. Dream Academy Afterschool and Mentoring Program offers one-on-one mentoring, tutoring, and academic support in a safe out of school time environment. Participants take part in hands-on STEM activities, exciting field trips, cloud-based, tailored literacy support, dream building activities, and leadership opportunities. The program uses innovative out of school time and mentoring programs that are built on three thematic pillars: Skill-building, Character-building, and Dream-building, and also offers a safe, secure online platform called the Virtual Village where young people and mentors can stay connected through virtual mentoring from anywhere in the world.

Since 1998, the U.S. Dream Academy Afterschool and Mentoring Program has served over 11,000 DreamKids across ten cities nationwide. The program focuses on children impacted by parental incarceration and operates research-based programs. U.S. Dream Academy currently operates Learning Centers in seven communities known as Dream Cities nationwide and also offers a Virtual Village, with many Learning Centers established through significant partnerships. The organization’s founder and CEO is Wintley Phipps.
