Wheaton Park Stables offers pony rides, riding lessons, guided trail rides, summer camp, birthday parties, Girl/Boy Scout activities, and photo shoots. Pony rides take place in an indoor arena, with ponies led a couple of times around the arena and helmets provided by the stable. The program also makes composted manure available, including free compost if visitors shovel and haul it themselves and pre-bagged composted manure for a set price.

• Schedule: Pony rides are offered on Sundays from 1:30–2:30 pm and Thursdays from 11 am–12 pm, with guided trail rides on Sundays in spring and fall; riding lessons run in 12-week series and the stable has set business hours throughout the week.
• Price: $10 per pony ride with cash or check, $12 with Venmo; pre-bagged composted manure is $5 per bag.
Wheaton Park Stables has been in existence for close to 60 years and has had two previous owners. The current owner, Sandy Creecy, has operated the stable since January 2008. The mission of Wheaton Park Stables is to be a family-oriented riding stable specializing in English style balanced-seat equitation, with a primary focus on group lessons, summer camps, trail rides, and pony rides. The original owner now serves as the Equine Dentist. Wheaton Park Stables partners with its volunteer crew, the Cura Personalis Project, for ongoing support of its horses, barn and facility, and program, and the County Commissioners and the Park have acknowledged the role the stable has played in the community. The stable also notes that its orange tabby cats, Oliver and Maisie, are used for mouse control.
