White Oak Community Recreation Center Programs

White Oak Community Recreation Center Programs include activities in physical fitness, sports, dance, music, art, and social activities. Participants can also take part in basketball and skating as part of the program offerings.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.–11 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

The program uses indoor spaces such as an Art Room, Class Room, Community Room, Conference Rooms, Fitness Room, Game Room, Gymnasium, Lobby, Social Hall, Studio, and Warming Kitchen. The Fitness Room has showers and lockers available on-site, and participants must bring their own lock. Outdoor areas used by the programs include a multipurpose field, a basketball court, two playgrounds, and a skating area with ramps. The leadership team includes Recreation Specialists Tenisha Reid and Charles Butler, and Recreation Coordinator Kendrick Saunders. The White Oak Community Recreation Center serves more than 17,400 people living in 6,500 housing units in the White Oak community, and nearly two-thirds of these housing units are inhabited by families.
