White Oak Community Recreation Center Programs

White Oak Community Recreation Center Programs include activities in physical fitness, sports, dance, music, art, and social activities. The program uses both indoor rooms and outdoor areas for these activities, including spaces such as a gymnasium, fitness room, art room, and multipurpose field.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.–11 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

The White Oak Community Recreation Center offers outdoor facilities that include a multipurpose field, a basketball court, two playgrounds, and a skating area with ramps. Indoor rooms available for program use include an Art Room, Classroom, Community Room, Conference Rooms, Fitness Room, Game Room, Gymnasium, Lobby, Social Hall, Studio, and Warming Kitchen. In the Fitness Room, showers and lockers are available on-site, and participants must bring their own lock. The center serves more than 17,400 people living in 6,500 housing units in the White Oak community, and nearly two-thirds of these housing units are inhabited by families. The leadership team includes Recreation Specialists Tenisha Reid and Charles Butler, and Recreation Coordinator Kendrick Saunders.
