Brookside Gardens Youth Education Programs take place within Brookside Gardens, which includes areas such as the Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese inspired Gude Garden, Idea Garden, Rain Garden, Woodland Walk, Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, Maple Terrace, Fragrance Garden, and two conservatories used year-round. The programs are held in a setting that is part of a 50-acre public display garden described as award-winning and part of Wheaton Regional Park. The gardens are open from sunrise to sunset, and admission to the gardens is free for families attending programs there.

Contributions made to the Montgomery County Parks Foundation on behalf of Brookside Gardens support the continued development of Brookside Gardens as a community resource. Brookside Gardens is also an event venue with a contemporary Reception Hall and Conservatory available year-round and garden wedding spaces for groups as large as 110 from April through October, and the Hall can seat 175 lecture room-style with classrooms available for groups up to 50.
