Casco Bay Movers Dance Studio - Young Dancers Program includes classes such as Dance With Me, Dance Imagination 1 and 2, Pre-Ballet, Pre-Modern, Hippity Hop, Combo Classes, repertory classes, and workshops like the Contemporary Forms Workshop and Theater Jazz Workshop. The program also offers a Summer Dance & Art Camp with daily movement classes, arts and crafts, outdoor time, creative play, and an emphasis on unplugging. Repertory classes are designed for dancers interested in learning choreographic work for performance and focus solely on choreography.

In the Dance With Me class, children who are walking through 4 years old participate with a caregiver who is actively involved in the class. Dance Imagination classes introduce dance vocabulary and locomotor skills through exploration of directions, patterns, and movement shapes, and they include unstructured free dance to explore individual movement. Pre-Ballet, Pre-Modern, Hippity Hop, and Combo Classes are for children who are ready for a more structured dance experience, and Pre-Ballet, Hippity Hop, and Combo classes require a certain level of mental concentration, physical coordination, and a more disciplined classroom environment.
The Young Dancers Program follows a curriculum that is described as developmentally appropriate and concept-based and integrates the principles of braindance. The studio offers “peek weeks” twice per year. All semester or year-long classes have the opportunity to perform in the annual Spring Concert, which is created especially for younger dancers, is short and family-friendly, and allows dancers to sit in the auditorium to watch other performers when they are not on stage.
