Portland Symphony Orchestra Youth Programs include youth concerts, Link Up: The Orchestra Moves!, Discovery Concerts, Crewe Youth Concerts, KinderKonzerts, and the PSO Children’s Chorus. Link Up: The Orchestra Moves! is a fully participatory, school-day concert program where students sing, play recorders, move, and listen along with the symphony from their seats. This program is designed for students in grades 3–6, but all are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Founded in 1924, the Portland Symphony Orchestra has a long history. The Symphony’s mission is to serve the community by enriching lives through music. The organization lists Eckart Preu as its Music Director and is widely regarded as one of the top symphony orchestras of its size in the country. The Portland Symphony Orchestra partners with Carnegie Hall to present Link Up: The Orchestra Moves!. The Independent Transportation Network of Portland, ITNAmerica, has partnered with the Portland Symphony Orchestra and Portland Stage to launch the Fine Rides for Fine Arts program, which connects volunteer drivers with older people to help them attend plays and concerts.
