About

Korean School of Ann Arbor offers classes in Korean language, Korean culture, and Korean history, along with special classes in music, dance, calligraphy, storytelling, Jongyijeopgi, K-pop, paper folding, handbell, and traditional music. Students take part in activities such as a Korean Lunar New Year’s Day Celebration, a writing contest, a storytelling contest, a Korean history and cultural Olympiad, a Korean Cultural Festival, a Korean culture and arts festival held every year, and an internal Korean language speaking contest. Classes include listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Korean for children and adults who want to learn.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly Saturday classes during a school year with a first semester from September to January (17 weeks) and a second semester from February to June (16 weeks); for the listed term, classes run every Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm, from September 13, 2025 to January 31, 2026
• Price: Tuition $265 per semester (includes textbook fee), $285 for the Jindallae class, plus a $25 new student admission/application fee

The Korean School of Ann Arbor (KSAA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1971 and is registered with the U.S. federal government IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. KSAA accepts any student who wants to learn Korean language and culture and has completed all application procedures before the application deadline, and offers classes for Pre-K through 8th grade and adults. The school provides family discounts and rents facilities from Ann Arbor Public Schools to hold classes. The principal is Shim Yonghyu. The school states that it focuses on teaching Korean language, Korean culture, and history for both children and adults, and on learning Korean language and script and understanding Korean history and culture.
