Boreal FC states that its mission is to build high-level soccer players and high-character people in the Twin Cities North Metro from U9 grassroots through college commitment and beyond, and to develop players of all ages and levels while they learn technical and tactical elements of the game and sportsmanship. The program description states that it is developed to teach soccer fundamentals, skills, ball handling, knowledge of the game, sportsmanship, team play, and to create a love of the game of soccer, with the spring/summer season focused on developing a genuine love for the game while maximizing each player’s unique abilities. The Spring/Summer Recreational Soccer Program serves over 1,600 boys and girls from multiple nearby communities, and all teams at a site travel on the same day to help families with multiple players. Boreal FC will begin in Fall 2020 and was formed when Three Rivers Soccer Association and North Metro Soccer Association, after two years of partnership, entered into a merger to establish Boreal Futbol Club, which now operates both competitive and community-based recreational programs, including Summer League – 4v4 Co-Ed and Fall League – 4v4 Co-Ed.
